A Evening with The Brothers Comatose; The Not So Gala Gala
The Brothers Comatose, a high-energy string band from the West Coast, will bring their signature blend of bluegrass, country, and rock influences to the stage. Known for their lively performances and dynamic sound, the band has garnered widespread acclaim and built a loyal following across the Americana and bluegrass music scenes. Their vibrant stage presence and genre-defying music make them a must-see act for the evening.
Also performing are Liam Purcell & Cane Mill Road, a rising bluegrass band recognized for their impressive musicianship and exciting live shows. With a style that blends traditional bluegrass with modern influences, their sound will complement the evening’s festivities and create an unforgettable atmosphere.
The Not So Gala, Gala offers an intimate, laid-back musical experience, allowing guests to enjoy the performances in a casual setting, without the formality of a traditional gala. The event encourages attendees to dress casually and enjoy the fun, while supporting a meaningful cause.
In addition to the music, the evening will feature a live auction led by local auctioneer Jesse Miller, offering a variety of unique items and experiences. All proceeds from the auction and ticket sales will go directly to the Colon Cancer Coalition, funding vital screenings, education, and support for families affected by colon cancer.
The evening will also include the presentation of the KG Ripple Effect Award, which honors Kelly-Grier Costin, a beloved member of the Beech Mountain Resort family who passed away in 2021 after a courageous battle with colon cancer. This award is given to someone who has shown remarkable strength, courage, and dedication to the colon cancer community, whether as a survivor, healthcare worker, or volunteer.
